Donald R. Staudt, age 91, of Manitowoc and Palm Tree Acres, Zephyrhills, FL, died Friday, December 11, 2015 at Rivers Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, with his family at his side.

Don was born on October 18, 1924 in Manitowoc, son of the late Raymond and Bertha (Swarts) Staudt. He attended local schools and served in the United States Navy. On July 24, 1945, Donald married the former Doris M. Schipper in Manitowoc. Don was the plant superintendent at Kelvinator until his retirement in 1984. He was a life time member of the Eagles Aerie #706.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years: Doris Staudt, Manitowoc; five children: James (Joanne) Staudt, Manitowoc; Mary (Robert) Kiphart, Manitowoc; Jack (Lynn) Staudt, Summerville, SC; Mark Staudt, Manitowoc; Tom Staudt, Manitowoc; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law; Raymond (Marilyn) Staudt, Manitowoc; Leroy (Delores) Staudt, Manitowoc, Gerald (Marilyn) Staudt, Oak Lawn, IL; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Lavange Wilda, FL; Barbara (Leon) Kabat, Shawano, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Robert (Alice) Staudt; Wayne Staudt; one sister and brother-in-law: Eleanor (Orin) Clasen; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Robert (Helen) Schipper.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at the Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 1122 South 8th Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. Dave Beaudry will officiate. Military honors will be accorded by VFW Otto-Oas Post #659 of Manitowoc.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:30 a.m.
