Mrs. Miriam I. Cardwell, 72, 811 Paul street, a resident of Sioux City for the last 53 years, died Saturday at a hospital after an illness of six months.

Mrs. Cardwell was born February 18, 1888, at Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was a member of Wesley Methodist church.

Survivors include the widower, Hugh E. Cardwell (sic); two sons, Cecil of Billings, Montana and Kenneth of Sioux City; a daughter, Mrs. Ed Zimmer of Sioux City; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother Forest Bair of Vancouver, Washington, and a sister, Mrs. Ira Sager of Sioux City.

The body was taken to the Nelson-Berger north side funeral home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Miriam I. Cardwell, 78, 811 Paul street, who died Saturday, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Nelson-Berger north side funeral home, Rev. Ralph Brink of the First Baptist church will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial park cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ray Olson, Ed Betts, Clarence Gifford, John Gibbs, Lawrence Langford and D. A. Etheridge.
