Rosalie Carpenter Mattox, 78, of 202 Peters Ave., died Wednesday at her home.
A member of First Methodist Church, Quota Club and M.Z. Kreider Chapter 145, O.E.S., she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Todd (Elaine) Akin, Lancaster; son Merritt Cunningham, Lancaster; four grandchildren, Claudia R. Akin, Cleveland, Pamela Miller, Lancaster, and Barbara Smith, Arizona; six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Mattox, founder of Mattox Bros. Block, and one brother Farrell Carpenter.
