Rose was the daughter of Owen J. (1833-1893) and Mary (Gillen) (1845-1900) Lafferty of Moville, Co. Donegal Eire, Ireland. Sister of Patrick J. Lafferty, Mary Ann Lafferty, Owen Lafferty, James Henry Lafferty, Eugene Joseph Lafferty, Daniel Lafferty, Daniel Francis Lafferty, Alexander C. Lafferty, John Lafferty, Charles Lafferty, May Lafferty, Catherine Lafferty, and Elizabeth Mary Lafferty.
She was Irish Catholic and attended church almost every day. I can remember, even though I was very young, holding her hand and walking a few blocks everyday to go to church with her, when I stayed with my grandparents. She was a very sweet and caring woman.
