Previously on 27 June 1799 at Middlefield, Rachel m. Jonathan Woodward, who by the 1810 census were residing at Windsor, Berkshire County with 2 females age 45 and older , one undoubtedly being Rachel's widowed mother. According to the Windsor VRs, the widow Mary Skinner died at Windsor on 27 Sept. 1811 and Rachel (Skinner) Woodward at Windsor of fever on 1 March 1830, a. 63, where she was interred at the Windsor Hill, aka Hill, Cemetery in Windsor.
Whether Rachel's gravestone is still intact and readable remains to be determined. But if her transcribed age at death is correct she was born in ca. 1768, not in 1770 as recorded in the Colchester, CT VRs.
