Americo Vecchi, 86, Hibbing, died Monday, Jan. 29, 1996, in Leisure Hills Health Care Center in Hibbing. He was born in Sassoferatto, Provincia Ancma, Italy.
He graduated from Chisholm High School and later moved to Hibbing. He worked for the California Wine House and was a bookkeeper at Gamble Robinson. He owned and operated Vecchi Market in Hibbing. He was a member, bookkeeper and lector of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia.
Americo is survived by his sons: Paul, and David; daughters: Rose Nichols, and Adele Blagoue; brother, Thomas; sisters: Mary Russo, Lucille Zoerner, and Yolanda Greenly; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
