Mr. Aikey, of 520 Seamen Ave., was widely known in several Akron clubs, died in his home on Monday, September 30. Mr. Aikey had been in ill health for sometime.
He belonged to the Masonic Akron lodge 83, Eagles, American Legion Post 209 and the Yusef Kahn Grotto.
He leaves his wife, Hulda; four sons, Donald and Robert of Akron, Harry of Berea, and Richard, serving in Japan with the merchant marines; plus one daughter, Louise, of Cleveland.
