Born Aug. 16, 1917, in Nelson County, she was a daughter of the late Rosetta Mays Campbell and Thomas Jackson Campbell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Strode Angus, her sisters, Verdie Lee Massie, Lettie Belle Fitzgerald, Mary Cash and Ruth Sprouse, and her brothers, Jim Buck Campbell, Henry Campbell, Manfred Campbell and John Campbell.
She is survived by her daughter, Corene Coleman and her husband, Clinton, of Forest; two sons, Elwood Angus and his wife, Betty, of Bedford and James Angus and his wife, Ofelia, of Forest; a brother, William Campbell, of Lowesville; a sister, Rosetta Sprouse, of Hampton; two sister-in-laws, Irene Bowling, of Lynchburg and Carleen Campbell, of Lowesville; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was conducted Nov. 16 at Forest UMC in Forest. Interment followed in Virginia Memorial Park in Forest.
