Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Carroll Bonnette will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Hineston Tabernacle, with Reverend Jeffrey Scroggins officiating. Interment will follow in Fellowship Methodist Cemetery, Hineston, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mrs. Bonnette, 83, of Elmer, entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Naomi Heights Nursing Home, Alexandria, La.

She was a loving mother and grandmother and an active member of Hineston Tabernacle Church for sixty-nine years. She retired after serving as Postmaster for the Hineston U. S. Postal Service after twenty plus years of service. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, baking and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverends I. M. and Jessie Carroll; her husband, Huey D. Bonnette; and one brother, Reverend Paul E. Carroll.

Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include two sons, Max Bonnette, and his wife, Stacy, of Hineston and Brian Bonnette, and his wife, Celena, of Orange, Texas; one brother, Jerry Carroll, of Hineston; one sister, Esther Vaughan, of Hineston; four grandchildren, Kelsey Chandler (Heath), Caitlin Bonnette, Dustin Bonnette (Shelby), and Carlie Bonnette; and six great grandchildren,Waybo Chandler, Alaina Chandler, Allie Chandler, Bowen Bonnette, Josie Chandler and Cambri Hudson.

A time of visitation will be held at Hineston Tabernacle, on Friday, August 13, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the church on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

Pallbearers honored to serve are: Heath Chandler, Dustin Bonnette, Patrick Hudson, Aaron Vaughan, Roger Carroll and Dale Meylian. Honorary pallbearers will be Waybo Chandler and Bowen Bonnette.
