On an ordinary day and extraordinary man passed into hands of the Lord. Sunday, August 15, 2021 Alvin "Junior" Rabe Jr. age 79 of Valders passed away at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc. Junior was born on February 18, 1942 at the Rabe Family Farm at Wilkes Lake in Kiel. He was the youngest of five children and the son of the late Alvin and Helen (Vogel) Rabe Sr. He was a graduate of Kiel High School class of 1960. On June 22, 1963 Jr. married his high school sweetheart, Helen Pleuss at First German Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. Jr. was as a vat fabricator at the former Stoelting Brothers in Kiel. He was an active member at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Collins holding various offices in the church over the years. He was also an active member for over 40 years of the Rockea Hunting Club which he joined in 1961. He served on the board as the secretary from 1973-1982 and then as treasurer from 1982-2020.

He is cherished by the following survivors: his wife of 58 years, Helen of Valders; their children and spouses: Jodi (Mark) Virant of Bay City, MI and Kevin (Holly) Rabe of Theresa, WI; grandchildren: Kevin (Chelsea) Virant of West Bloomfield, MI, Jenna (Richie) Christie of Kingsport, TN, Emmett, Chandler, and Nathaniel Rabe of Theresa, WI; and one great-grandson: River Christie of Kingsport, TN; sisters-in-law: Edith Rabe Schneider, Kathy Rabe, Doris Blatz and many nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

He was greeted in heaven by his parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law: Harold and Milda Pleuss. Also joining in the reunion in heaven were his siblings and their spouses: Everett (Deloras) Rabe, Kenneth Rabe, Jeanette (Eugene) Blatz, Ronny Rabe and Bob Schnieder; and other relatives and friends.

Friends may call at the Pielhop Wieting Funeral Home, 215 South Main Street in Brillion from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.

Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Collins. There will be visitation at the church on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Officiating will be the Rev. Robert Weiss. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church, Manitowoc Lutheran High School, or place of your choice.

A special thanks to Dr. Andrew Yetter and his office staff for the care and compassion shown to Jr and also to the special friends that visited and kept him in their prayers these last years. The family will never forget their kindness.
