Kenneth A. Rabe, 66, of 16229 County Trunk F, Kiel, died unexpectedly Friday morning, May 14, 1999 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, where he had been a patient for one day.
He was born Feb. 23, 1933 in the town of Eaton, son of the late Alvin and Helen Vogel Rabe.
He was a 1952 graduate of Kiel High School.
On Oct. 23, 1954 he married Edith Halbach at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He farmed for 20 years in the town of Eaton and was employed for the past 11 years at Miller Inc., St. Nazianz. Kenneth also drove a school bus for the Valders School District for 20 years.
He was a lifelong member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Kiel. Kenneth enjoyed traveling, dancing gardening, and participating in tractor-pulling competitions in the area. He dearly loved his wife, his children and his grandchildren.
Survivors include is wife, Edith; five children, Dennis (Debby) Rabe, of Whitelaw, Randy (Jenny) Rabe, of Columbus, Ohio, Gary (Doris) Rabe of rural Kiel, Todd (Carla) Rabe, of Appleton and Gregg and special friend, Jenny and her children, Samantha and Austin of Valders. He is further survived by 10 grandchildren, Timothy, Nicholas, Adam, Andrew, Alexander, Corey, Joey, Haley, Brittany and Ashley; and three brothers, Everett (Deloris) Rabe, of rural Kiel, Ronald (Kathy) Rabe of rural Kiel and Alvin Jr. (Helen) Rabe, of rural Valders.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Jeanette, and one granddaughter.
Memorial services will be held at St. Peter's United church of Christ, Kiel, with the Rev. Raymond C. Coombs officiating. Kenneth's wish was to have his body cremated.
