G.V. Allie, 78 of Rock Falls died Friday February 8, 2019 at his home.
He was born on February 15, 1940, in Mound City, Illinois, the son of George Vernon and Norma (Sisk) Allie.
He served in the US Army Reserves from 1957 – 1965. He married Patricia McCleary on June 11, 1958 in Rock Falls. He was employed as a laborer with Union Local 727 for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Pat; their children: Ronald (Cheryl) Zinke, Linda Allie Campos, Martha (Mike) Voss and Julie (Jamie) Gordon; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 2 great- great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son George; 2 sisters and 1 brother.
Visitation will be held on Friday February 15, 2019 from 9 - 10:30 am at the McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Avenue in Rock Falls. The funeral will follow at 10:30 AM with the Reverend Robert Clardie officiating. Burial will conclude at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.
