Harvey Arnold, 57, known as "Cotton" to his friends, died at the Lock Haven Hospital Saturday, July 13, 1957, where he had been a patient two weeks. His death resulted from cancer.
Cotton came to this vicinity about 35 years ago and worked many years on the Allen Brown farm in Mill Hall RD. Then he became handyman on County Commissioner W. Max Bossert's farm, Beech Creek, RD, where he was employed when he entered the hospital.
He was born at Stroudsburg, October 16, 1899, a son of John W. and Mary Kendig Arnold. It was known that he had a sister, Susan Dreacht, and a brother, Jacob, but their addresses were unknown.
Funeral services were held at the Neff Funeral Home in Howard with the Reverend Edward L. Junkin, Presbyterian pastor officiating.
Interment was in Hublersburg Cemetery.
