FALLS MILLS, Va. - Henry Clark Hill, 75, of Falls Mills, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2003 in a Roanoke, Va. hospital.
He was born June 14, 1928, in Tazewell County, Va., and was a son of the late Edward Wiley Hill and Lottie Head Hill.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Clarence Hill, Hubert Dillon, Richard Sluss; and grandson, Little J.J. Hill.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Elma Jean McGuire Hill; daughters, Jennie Wiley and husband Ray of Rocky Gap, Va., Mary Holbrook and husband David of Bluefield, Va., Joyce Gilliam of Gray, Tenn., Nancy Carr and husband Benjamin of Farmington, N.M.; son, James Edward Hill and wife Wendy of Falls Mills; grandchildren, Michael and Jennifer Holbrook, Joshua, Amanda, Isaac and Hannah Gilliam, Brandi and Benjamin Carr, Faith Hill; special daughter, Marilda Perry and husband Edward; special niece, Susan McMahon and family John, Matt and Jenny; sisters, Kathleen Henderson of Oak Ridge, Tenn. and Viola Bailey of Princeton; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, Va. with Pastors Jim Coe, Donnie Bailey, Charlie Marrs and Danny Scott. Burial will follow in the Tabor Cemetery in Falls Mills.
Pallbearers will be David and Michael Holbrook, John Broce, Edward Perry, Benjamin Carr, Shawn Williby and Kerry Payne.
Honorary pallbearer will be Ray Wiley.
