Donna Theo Burton, 48, of Raysal, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2007, an angel flying too close to the ground!
Born September 29, 1959 in Iaeger, Mrs. Burton was the daughter of Joe and Agnes Kennedy of Paynesville. She was employed by the McDowell County Board of Education.
She was preceded in death by her son, Eric Kyle Burton and her half brother, Becoy Hawks.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Steve Burton of Raysal; daughters, Stevie Burton of the home and Candice Burton and fiancé Chris Blankenship of Stacy, Va.; parents, Joe and Agnes Kennedy of Paynesville; brothers, Calvin Kennedy and wife Ivalene of Jolo, Bobby Kennedy of English, Aaron Kennedy and wife Darlene of Jolo, Ronnie Kennedy of Jolo; sisters, Wanda Burcham and husband Carlyn of Austinville, Va., Beaula Short and husband Corbet of Bartley, Ginger Sparkman and husband Donald of Pilgrim Knob, Va.; three grandchildren, Ericah Burton, Montana Dye, and Kobe Blankenship.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 30, 2007 at 12 noon from the Jesus Church, Bartley with the Reverend Roger "Pete" Woods and the Reverend Roger Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Kennedy Cemetery, Jolo. Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.
