Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Bell, 51, wife of Arthur Issac Bell, of Coopers, who died Saturday morning, February 16, 1946 at 12:05 at Bluefield Sanitarium following a lingering illness, were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30.
The services were held at the Coopers Methodist Church with the Rev. C.W. Paskel, of Bramwell, in charge, assisted by the Rev. C.C.Hensley, also of Bramwell.
Burial was at Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery, Bluewell, W.V.
Born October 17, 1894 in Radford, Va. she was the daughter of Thomas Lee Patrick and Sophia Ann Frances Ferguson McBride. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two children: Lewis and Margaret Bell and her eldest daughter, Vivian Bell Short.
In addition to her husband Mrs. Bell is survived by a daughter, Miss Jeanette Bell and a son, Howard Bell, both of Coopers; two sisters, Mrs. Lily Moore, of Oakland, Ca. and Mrs. Maude Cumby of Bramwell and a brother, Gordon McBride of Yards, Va.
Also surviving are six grandchildren, Fay, Bobby, and Ruth Bell all of Coopers, and Gordon, Jr,, Barbara and Phyllis Short, all of Freeman and six nieces, Ennice Allen, Mamie Bailey, Charlotte Hill, Louise Goodson, Jun Bailey and Frances Eller.
Pallbearers: Guy Niswander, Raymond Martin, DennisMartin, Henry Morissette, Lee Morissette, George Spanger, and Ted Niswander.
Flower bears were nieces and grandchildren.
