The former Meta Erdmann was born December 8, 1900 in the Town of Mosel, where she attended district school.
On April 21, 1928 she married William J. Hernberger of the Town of Sheboygan. The couple operated a dairy farm on Co. Tk. O for many years. Mr. Hernberger preceded her in death on February 9,1972.
Mrs. Hernberger was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church of rural Sheboygan Falls. Meta enjoyed going to church, reading the Bible, gardening and visiting her family and friends. Survivors include three daughters and son-in-law, Irene and Arland Lawrence, of Rural Manitowoc; La Vern Koppelmann, of Sheboygan, and Mary Kautzer of Manitowoc; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Herbert (Dorothy) Erdmann, of Newton and Carl (Wilma) Erdmann of Sheboygan Falls.
She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Funeral services will bs held Gun-day, 3 p.m, at St. Luke Lutheran Church. Rev. Paula Ramcke-Wilke, pastor, will officiate. Burial will take place in the Lutheran Cemetery.
