Viola (Akers) Bradshaw, 87 of West Salem died, Saturday September 22nd, 2018 at Barberton Hospital. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday September 26th, 2018 at 1:00 at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Pastor Chad Palmer Officiating. The family will be accepting friends Tuesday September 25th, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 at the Matteson Funeral Home. Viola's burial will be at West Salem Cemetery.
Viola was the daughter of Willard and Philadelphia (Johnson) Brown born September 15th, 1931 in Mancelona, Michigan. She married Albert Akers in 1948 he preceded her in death in 1980. Viola leaves behind six children; Kenneth (Toni) Akers, Amherst, Ohio; Gordon (Cory) Akers, West Salem, Ohio; Larry Akers, Drexel, North Carolina; Linda Hood, Connelly Springs, North Carolina; Rusty (Christine) Akers, Drexel, North Carolina; Brian (Kathryn) Akers, Morganton North Carolina; a sister, Elena Shahan Richardson, Hartville, Ohio; many Grandchildren; and many Great Grandchildren. Viola was preceded in death by her husband; three sons; Roger, Randall and Mark; three brothers; and four sisters.
