ROBERTO CANDELARIA JR., loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle passed away on November 27, 2007 at the age of 50 years. He was born on March 12, 1957 in El Paso to the late Roberto and Nelda Buscha Candelaria. Roberto served his country honorably as a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Candelaria is survived by his son, Adam Candelaria and fiancée Juli of Albuquerque, NM; grandson, Anthony A. Candelaria of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Ricardo Candelaria and wife Teresa of El Paso; sisters, Linda Rodriguez and husband Ray of Socorro, Diana Cruz and husband Lalo of Clint and Stella Arroyos of Socorro; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. The Candelaria Family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, December 2, 2007 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM in the Chapel of Martin Funeral Home East with recitation of the rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. Funeral Liturgy for Mr. Candelaria will be celebrated on Monday, December 3, 2007 at 1:00 PM at La Purisima Catholic Church in Socorro. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Candelaria, Ricardo Candelaria, Raymundo Rodriguez, Paul Rodriguez, Filbert Candelaria and Rudy Gutierrez. Honorary pallbearers will be Rodolfo Reyes, Lalo Cruz, Anthony Candelaria and Paul Candelaria. The Candelaria Family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to La Mariposa Hospice, Andy, Amelia and Claudia for all the care given to Roberto.
