Damaris Hopkins survived the first winter, but died sometime before 1628. Her younger sister of the same name Damaris Hopkins was recorded as alive and having children as late as the early 1670's. This was her younger sister given the same name after her death. That Damaris Hopkins (1628–1669) married Jacob Cooke (1618–1675)
