Private in the U.S. Army in World War 1. Westfield, Indiana Town Marshall for many years. He was also known as Hank West and was the self appointed bank (the old 1898 bank at the NE corner of Union and SR32) night watchman. He also "volunteered" with the firemen and went on many runs. He was also one of the children from the old Orphan Trains.
