EDWARD WILEY HILL
Edward Wiley Hill, 61, of Falls Mills, died Sunday morning at 10 o'clock, May 20, 1954, at Veterans Hospital, Beckley, following a long illness.
Born April 10, 1893 at Falls Mills, he a son of Wiley G. and Nancy Byer Perdue Hill. He was a veteran of WWI, a retired farmer and a life long resident of the Falls Mills section.
Survivors include his wife, Mr. Lottie Head Hill of Falls Mills; one daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Henderson of Elizabethton, Tn.; two sons; Clarence Hill of Beckley, and Henry Clark of Falls Mills; four brothers; Thomas Harden Hill of Falls Mills , Silas Hill of St. Charles, Va., Henry Crockett Hill and Felix Shelton Hill of Falls Mills.
Services were held at the Falls Mills Methodist Church.
The body will be brought to Wagner Hawkins Funeral Home at Bluefield, Va. where the funeral arrangements will be completed.
Interment will follow in Tabor Cemetery near his home.
The Pocahntas American Legion Post 14 served as pallbearers and were in charge of graveside rites.
