She was the daughter of Wilmon and Norma Lorene (Laws) Burks. She married Bobby Ray Burt on June 27, 1958 in Big Springs, Texas; he preceded her in death in 1993. She later married Jay Holland on June 4, 1999 in Mena, Arkansas. he preceded her in death in 2006. She loved to crochet and working in her garden and being a mother and grandmother. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law; Tammie and Darrell Nichols of Antlers, Oklahoma, Judy and Tommy Thompson of Talihina, Oklahoma and Deanna and Steven Martin of Summerfield, Oklahoma. Nine grandchildren; Shawn and Diana Nichols, Brittany Nichols, Chelsea Thompson, Hanna Thompson, Lacie Sisk, Whitnie Sisk, Hunter Martin, Dakota Martin and Gage Martin. Three great-grandchildren; Shawna, Joseph and Kayli Nichols. Two brothers and one sister-in-law; Charles Burks of Big Spring, Texas, Leonard and Jimmy Burks also of Big Springs, Texas; also numerous nieces and nephews. Two special friends; Neoma O'Daniel and Melba Humphreys. She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands; Bobby Ray Burt in 1993 and Jay Holland in 2006 and one brother; Wilmon Dexter Burks. Graveside at Cupco Cemetery, Yanush, Oklahoma. at 2 P.M. on Friday, December 7th, with Phil Smith officiating.
