A US Army veteran of World War II and later a Sales Tax Inspector for the State of Tennessee, Walter was living at 2409 Parkview Place in Nashville and was 48 years old, married and had an acute heart attack and died on January 27, 1964 at Nashville's VA Hospital. Burial was on January 29th in Greenwood Cemetery, Nashville.
