FRANK MORTON RICE
Frank M. ‘Poke' Rice, 80, of 1631 Back Creek Road, Seaford, Va., formerly of the Princeton area, died Wednesday, March 2, 1988 a Newport News, Va. hospital.
Born in Bluefield on May 22, 1907, he was the son of the late Andrew David and Cora Lee Hill Rice. He was a resident of Seaford for the past 32 years and attended the Zion United Methodist Church at Seaford. He was a retired electrician and was a member of the IBEW Local 1340. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.
He was receded in death by his first wife, Barbara Juhasz Rice, two brothers, Elmer Rice of Princeton and Edwin of Belle, W.V..
Survivors: His eldest daughter of his first marriage, Barbara Rice Gatz and husband Frank of Fl., his present wife, Mrs. Helen Stafford Rice; son, James Miller of Seaford, daughter, Sheila Rice Cook of Seaford and four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Pisgah Cemetery on the Pisgah Road, Princeton with Rev. James Snoke officiating.
