Stanley Eugene Angelley sorrowfully announced his passing from this earth October 14th, 2021. He was born to Wm. R. & Lillie B. Aaron Angelley, May 18, 1938 in Idabel, Oklahoma. He was a member of Melonie Park Church.

Growing up in Lubbock, Tx. he attended Lubbock High School before entering the U.S. Army. Stanley was a Quartermaster for the 4th Battalion, Armored Division. He was stationed in Germany, where he met and married Helga Knauer in Erlangen in 1959. They were married 57 years until her passing in 2016.

After returning home with his new wife, he attended Texas Technological College. He then became a policeman for the city of Lubbock. Later he began his own business as a home builder for Lubbock and surrounding communities. During this time, he served as President of the Lubbock Home Builders Association.

Stanley was proceeded in death by his wife, his parents, brothers JR Angelley, William Angelley, Jerry Angelley; sisters Eleanor Angelley Owens & Thelma Angelley Janko & brother-in-law Kenneth Herd.

He is survived by his sister Kathryn Angelley Herd, sister-in-law Jan Angelley, nephews: Michael & Kevin Herd, Will, Eric, Bryan, David & Kevin Angelley, Billy Weaver; Nieces: Judy Herd Williams, Deborah Angelley Stamps, Elizabeth Owens Mager, Teresa Owens Blackington, Melissa Owens Swingle, Angie Weaver Lundsford, Kim Weaver and many more great & great-great nieces & nephews.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, October 19th at 5 pm at Sanders Funeral Home. Services will be Wednesday, October 20th, 10 am at Sanders Funeral Home and will be conducted by Pastor Todd Cepica.

Pallbearers include great nephews and great-great-nephews: Samuel Herd, Andy Hart, Mason Hart, Curtis Whatley, Gage Whatley, Levi Whatley.
