A service celebrating Bill Angelley's life will be held on Monday, December 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Sanders Funeral Home in Lubbock. Todd Cepica and Mark Hardy will be officiating. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens in Woodrow, Texas.

William Wayne Angelley passed away on December 23, 2009 at age 69.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jan Angelley; sons, Wil Angelley and wife Jules of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, and Eric Angelley and wife Jana of Little Elm, Texas; and three beautiful grandchildren, Nicholas, Griffin and Sarah, whom he adored. He is also survived by two brothers, J.R. and wife Susan, Stan and wife Helga; two sisters, Kathryn Herd and Thelma Angelley; and many nieces and nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Rollen Angelley; his mother, Lilly Bell Smith; his step-father Kenneth Smith; a brother, Jerry Vaughn; a sister, Eleanor Owens; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Herd.

Bill was born in Idabel, Oklahoma on August 14, 1940. He moved to Lubbock in 1947. He worked for more than 30 years as a service technician for Lubbock Welding Supply Company. A 32nd degree master mason, Bill was past master of the Yellow House Lodge and was a recipient of the prestigious Golden Trowel Award.

Bill was baptized into the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1956. He was an Elder in the church and over the years served as youth minister, Associate Pastor and Pastor of the Lubbock congregation. In recent years, he attended Melanie Park Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to be made to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, 2222 Welborn Street, Dallas, Texas 75219.

The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m., Sunday at Sanders Funeral Home.
