Revolutionary War: Killed in the Battle of Germantown
Two Officers and six men who were killed at Battle of Germantown in October 1777 are buried here in one grave.

Hazard's register of Pennsylvania, Volume 1 edited by Samuel Hazard {1828} .p.293
"Major Bennett informed me, that Col. Nash, Col. White, Col. Boyd, and another officer killed of the Americans, were all taken to near Montgomery square, and buried side by side at Baptist Meeting-house. Col. White died in the litter.
Capt. Turner of N. Carolina, and Major Irvine, and six men, were all buried in one grave, at the east corner of the burying ground by Keyser's."
