"Mrs. Rose Moroni Dies Saturday
Mrs. Rose Moroni, 86, long-time resident of Eveleth, died Saturday in a Virginia hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born May 30, 1866 in Italy and had lived in Eveleth for the last 43 years.
She was a member of Regina D-Italia Society and the Sacred Heart Society of Immaculate Conception Catholic parish.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Inez Mariucci of Eveleth, Mrs. Charles Bouschor (Mary) of Dallas, Tex., and Mrs. Elvira Morico of Rome, Italy; three sons, John of Minneapolis, Fred of Duluth and Peter of Ely; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 8:30 o'clock from the Samson Funeral Home and at 9 o'clock from the Immaculate Conception Church with requiem high mass being celebrated by the Rev. Fr. Julio Graagnani. Burial was in the Eveleth Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Domonic Gais, Celeste Gambucci, Louis Bellucci, John Ciagne, John Labori and Fred Stroti. The rosary was recited Monday evening at 7:30 o'clock at the funeral home."
