My great-grandmother, Elizabeth or Eliza (Loftis) McCaskill was the 4th of 6 children born to Martha Addieville (Anderson) & Samuel Johnson Loftis.

Mrs. McCaskill Dies Thursday

Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 19 at First Baptist church in Cyril for a former Hennepin resident, Mrs. Elizabeth Loftis McCaskill. She died Sept. 17 in an Oklahoma City nursing home at the age of 80.

Rev. Judson Cook and Harvey Albright officiated at the services. Burial was in the Hennepin cemetery. Pallbearers were Graham Smith, John McCaskill, Herbert McCaskill, Rayburn Teeter, Laverne Clubb and Lee Clubb.

Mrs. McCaskill, widow of John Beal McCaskill, was born in Tennessee on Aug. 16, 1888. She moved to Indian Territory as a young girl and married at Pauls Valley in 1902. She resided in Hennepin until 1966. Her husband preceded her in death in 1946. Two children, Edith and Boyd McCaskill, also preceded her in death.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Addie Lee Price of Cyril; two sons, Lowell of Altadena, Calif., and Ward of Oklahoma City; 13 grandchildren, including Mrs. Doris Meador and John McCaskill of Davis; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Beal McCaskill of Cyril passed away last Tuesday morning in an Oklahoma City nursing home after an extended illness. She was a resident of Hennepin for many years but moved to Cyril about three years ago to be near her daughter Mrs. L. Z. Price after her health failed. Funeral services were Thursday in the Baptist church at Cyril and burial was in the Hennepin cemetery. Her niece Mrs. Roy Clubb left Wednesday to attend the services. Mrs. Joe Settle also attended.
