Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Amie, 78, of Jennings will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021, at 1:00 p. m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 31, 2021, and close at 8:00 p.m. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. and continue until time of service.

Mrs. Amie worked as a dispatcher for the Jennings Police Department for many years. She enjoyed working, hunting, skeet shooting, being a grandmother and going to the Casino.

Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Eva Savage; five sons, Randall (Sara) Cormier, Scott (Becky) Cormier, Daniel Amie, Dennis (Veronica LeJeune) Amie and Douglas (Debbie) Amie, all of Jennings; a sister, Loretta Gilbert of Jennings; a brother, Gerald Miller of Sulphur; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Amie; her parents, Walter and Amitt "Molly" Andrepont Miller; a daughter, Kimberly Ann Cormier; son, Patrick Cormier; sister, Earline Dietz and a brother, Don "Bubba" Miller.
