MRS. CHRISTINA MICHEL
CANASTOTA - Services for Mrs. Christina Wohlleber Michel, 90, of Canastota RD 4, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the W. I. Tyler and Sons Funeral Home, Genesee Street, Chittenango. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Michel died Friday at Oneida City Hospital where she had been a patient for the last 10 days. She was born in Germany Jan. 18, 1879, daughter of John and Marie Haller Wohlleber. In 1912 she came to the Chittenango area where she and her husband, Henry Michel, operated a farm until his death in 1957. Since the death of her husband, Mrs. Michel had made her home with her son, Henry Michel Jr., Chittenango RD 4. Mrs. Michel was a member of the Lutheran Church. Surviving besides her son are another son, Ray Michel of Chittenango, three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
