HUBERT ELWOOD HILL
FALLS MILLS, VA.- Hubert E. Hill of Falls Mills died Friday, October 24, 1997, in a Bluefield hospital.
He was born May 9, 1921 at Anawalt and was a son of the late Charles McGuffin Hill and Rissie Belle Wagner Hill. He was the owner and president of Woodrum Warm Air Heating in Bluefield and was later employed by Allied Refrigeration and Allied Mechanical. He was a graduate of Graham High School. He attended the Falls Mills Untied Methodist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the 102nd Infantry Division during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Tabor Hill; one brother, George Kenneth Hill; and two sisters, Louise Hill Butt and Ethel Hill Hash.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Falls Mills United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ralph Kidd and the Rev. Chuck Patterson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Harry Cemetery in Falls Mills.
Pallbearers will be Jim French, Michael Jessee, Sr., Darryl Sarver, David Sarver, Dennis Sarver, Larry Sarver, and Jerry Tabor.
Friends may call today between 7 and 9 p.m. at the Dudley Memorial Mortuary in Bluefield, Va.
