Zina spent her youth in McCammon, Idaho. She married her sweetheart Bryce, settling in Brigham City to raise their family. She returned to finish her degree in Elementary Education from Weber State College, and taught for many years at Bunderson Elementary. Life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Zina served in many capacities including missions to Montana, Florida (with Bryce), Fiji, New Jersey, and the Salt Lake Family History Center. Her life centered around her family, and she delighted in each new addition. She was devoted to family history in all aspects including research, temple work, and compiling histories. After her husband Bryce passed, she made her home near the Jordan River Temple, which she attended often. She enjoyed theater, history, quilting and associating with her many friends.
Zina is survived by her children: Marjean Johnston (Ken), Sonja Shupe (Keith), Bryce W. Goodwin (DeeAnn), Joanne Montague (Harold), Dwight L. Goodwin (Michelle), Sara Alicia Garcia (Milo), twenty-three grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, her beloved husband Bryce, and a grandson, Kurt G. Shupe.
