Elmer Hill, 54, of Rt 1 Black Oak AR was found dead about 10am Sunday near the St Francis River levee at Riverdale. Poinsett County Coroner Homer Bata said Mr Hill apparently died of natural causes. Bata said Mr Hill had been dead about 24 hours when his body was found. Mr Hill had lived in and around Riverdale for the past several years. He was a timber worker. Survivors are his wife: Mrs Ethel Hill, 3 sons: Jimmy, Bobby, and Junior Hill of the home. 1 stepson: Robert Howell, 3 daughters: Shirley Ann, Libby, and Debra Hill all of the home, 2 stepdaughters: Mrs Stella Ledbetter of Little Rock AR and Mrs Katie Nell Smith of Burnhart MO, 1 sister: Mrs Clara Hickman of Jonesboro AR, and 14 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

(It was said that he was actually murdered by a family friend and was covered with newspapers to conceal the body.)
