Annah Buff Prago, 77, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in Greensboro, NC. She was born on September 30, 1935 in Rutherford, NC, to Bynum Abram Buff and Marjorie Flythe Buff.

Annah grew up in Rutherfordton, NC. She graduated from Rutherford-Spindale High School in 1953. After high school she attended university at the Women's College in Greensboro (now UNCG) where she received a degree in Education in 1957. While in college, Annah co-chaired the Junior Show theatrical production and was a member of the Young Women's Christian Association.

Annah spent summers during college as a waterfront instructor at Camp Red Wing on Schroon Lake in the Adirondack Mountains and at Camp Tekoa outside of Hendersonville, NC.

Annah married Donald Robert Prago in 1957 in Greensboro, NC. They were happily married for 56 years, raising five children together. They retired together to their beloved farm house in Pole Bridge, Virginia, in 1993 where they remained for much of their retirement years.

Annah was a talented woman both personally and professionally. She had many careers, including 6th grade teacher, realtor with Century 21 Real Estate, and interior designer with Diane K. Troum of Greensboro. Annah was an active member of West Market Street United Methodist Church until she and her husband moved to Virginia for their retirement.

She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting, sculpting, playing piano, and modern dance. She was also actively involved in charitable work, serving as Chairman of the Alumni Annual Giving Council for UNC-Greensboro, working with Habitat for Humanity in Haiti, and as a Blood Mobile volunteer. She supported a number of charitable organizations, including Amnesty International, World Wildlife Federation, and National Public Radio.

Annah was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Joshua Samuel Prago.

Survivors included her spouse Donald of Greensboro, NC; her brother Stephen Flythe Buff of Elon College, NC; her daughters Lisa Prago Dektor of Tempe, AZ, Rachel Miller Prago of Denver, CO, and Ellen Prago Lofton of Apex, NC; her son David Barkley Prago of Greensboro, NC; her grandchildren Graham, Aaron, Hannah, Zoe, Lila, Colin, Gillian, Eden, and Connor; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Annah was a devoted wife, loving mother, selfless volunteer, talented professional and gifted artist who lived a life of beauty, dignity and grace.

A memorial service was held at West Market Street United Methodist Church, 302 W Market St. Greensboro, NC on April 20, 2013.
