Mrs. Alice Christlieb, 84, of Mansfield passed away at 11:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 1950, at the Piatt Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held from the House Funeral Home on Friday at 2:30 p.m. with burial in Mansfield cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday evening.
Alice DeGrofft, d/o Aaron and Elizabeth DeGrofft was born near Galesville, November 21, 1865. Her early childhood was spent in Marion IN, returning to Fisher IL at the age of 15. She was married to Albert Christlieb October 28, 1883. To this union, one daughter was born, Lettie A. The family later moved to Mansfield where Mrs. Christlieb has since resided. She united with the Walker Methodist Church at the age of 18, later transferring to the Mansfield Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, November 9, 1914 and the daughter on August 29, 1939. She leaves several nieces and nephews.
