Born August 9, 1932, in Valdosta, Georgia, she was the eldest daughter of the late Levy and Clyde Brown.
Vivian worked at Bloomingdales Department Store, Bank of America for 27 years; and at the Stamford Hospital Gift Shop where she retired in 2005. Vivian was also a member of Union Baptist Church in Stamford, CT where she served as Committee Chair for the church's "Capital Stewardship Campaign".
She is survived by her daughter, Paula M. Cardwell of Stamford, CT; son, Calvin L. Sims (Tammy) of Mauldin, SC; sister, Delores Marable, Port Chester, NY; cousin, Pamela McKeiver, Detroit, MI; four grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on, Wednesday, July 7, 2021, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. followed by a homegoing celebration at Union Baptist Church, 805 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT. Officiating, Rev. Dr. Robert W. Perry. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Stamford, CT.
