George Clapp married twice, first 1835 in Edgar County Illinois to Eliza Jane White who died about 1854. He married second Sarah Brown, daughter of James and Nancy M (Allen) Brown. The second marriage was in Moniteau County Missouri. They returned to Illinois until moving to the Seward and Butler County area.
