Mrs. J.T. Chinn Dead.

End Comes to Early Day Resident Late Yesterday Evening.

Mrs. J.T. Chinn, a pioneer resident of Pratt county, died late yesterday evening at the home of a son, Oscar Chinn, on the old family homestead about six miles southwest of Coats. Mrs. Chinn and her husband, who survives her, had been spending the summer in Colorado, where they went in the hope that the climate might prove beneficial to her health. Returning to their home in Wichita they stopped enroute at the old home place, now occupied by Oscar Chinn, where Mrs. Chinn became quite ill. Mr. and Mrs. Chinn were early day residents of the county, but for the past few years had made their home in Wichita. Mrs. Chinn was about sixty years of age. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the M.E. church in Coats, in charge of Rev. W.M. Stranahan of Pratt. Burial will be in a small burying ground near the Chinn home known as the Bender cemetery just over the line in Barber county. Sappington and Calbeck of this city will direct the funeral.
