Mutzie was born November 15, 1930 to the late Frank and Marcella (Gries) Mueller and grew up in School Hill. On October 24, 1953, she married her sweetheart Warren William Neils. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1997.
Mutzie took on the role of raising her younger brothers when her mother died young. After marrying Warren, they moved to Kiel in 1958. Mutzie worked at Lake to Lake for 25 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul parish for over 60 years. Mom enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, card games, traveling, and musicals. Most of all she loved her family.

Mutzie is further survived by her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Grace Mueller, Mary Mueller, William (Theresa) Neils, Jerome Neils, Lois Brault, and Joyce Neils as well as numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Mutzie was preceded in death by her spouse Warren Neils; parents Frank and Marcella Mueller; in-laws William and Hattie Neils; siblings: Deloris (Clifford) Benzschawel, Marvin (Margaret) Mueller, Leon Meuller, and Elroy Mueller; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Milan (Beatrice) Neils, Ruth (Henry) Arpke, Gladys (Milton) Mueller, Arleen (Hugh) Gahagan, Dale Brault, Elwood Neils, and Jean Neils.

Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery immediately following mass. Due to recent spike of COVID-related illnesses, the family has requested masks be worn.
Our family would like to thank the caregivers at Willowdale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Heartland Hospice for the compassionate care given to our mom during her stay.
