Pierre Clos was born on 17 October 1826 in Buzy, Aquitaine, France to Jean Clos and Marie Larraya. About 1859 he settled at Mud Spring in the Antelope Valley of Southern California. He married Maria del Refugio Acevedo on 11 December 1865 at Los Angeles Plaza Church. Pierre died at his home in Mud Spring and was buried on 14 August 1878 at Old Calvary Cemetery.
