Kaye L. Schwalbe, age 75, of Manitowoc passed away on November 17, 2021 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

Kaye was born February 3, 1946 in Waukesha, the youngest child of Lloyd and Josephine (Stroup) Mowrer. She attended Valders schools and was a drummer in the high school band. She then attended Milwaukee Institute of Technology and received a medical assistant certificate. Upon graduation, she was employed with Dr.Thranow for many years.

She was united in marriage to Ronald Schwalbe on April 1, 1967 at Faith Lutheran Church in Valders. Together they raised three sons. Kaye enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom for several years before going back to work at Schaus Heating.

Kaye went to work at A.C.E. Building Service in 1988. She was a co-owner with her husband and the Steuers during her time there. Kaye was a friendly, dedicated and meticulous office manager who was integral to the success of the business. She retired in 2010.

Kaye loved to entertain, often receiving compliments on her special homemade potato salad, rhubarb kuchen and spicy Chex mix. She especially loved the holidays, spoiling her family with well thought-out gifts and the best spritz cookies. Kaye enjoyed her trips up north to the cabin with friends and family, trips to Mexico, reading, playing the piano, feeding the neighborhood squirrels, cheering on the Packers and following politics.

She volunteered her time at St. Paul's Lutheran Church including serving as church treasurer.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law: Douglas (Jodi) Schwalbe, Manitowoc; Chad Schwalbe, Manitowoc; Andrew (Sarah) Schwalbe, Green Bay; three grandchildren: Elijah Schwalbe, Erika (Greyson) Christel, Mollie Schwalbe; one brother: Mike (Donna) Mowrer, Manitowoc; one sister: Sue Rank, Manitowoc; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Rev. Kaye was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister and brother-in-law: Mary Jo (Gene) Krueger; brother-in-law: Curt Rank; niece: Kim Krueger; and father-in-law and mother-in-law Earl and Caroline Schwalbe.
