Virginia M Nieman, 91, of Temperance, Michigan passed away peacefully November 13, 2021. She was born February 24, 1930, in Toledo, Ohio to Lawrence and Dorothy (Lane) Driver. She was a 1948 graduate of Libbey High School. She married the love of her life, Lester Nieman on July 18, 1951, and they were married for 64 years. She was the proud mother of three sons, Bruce, Andrew, and Mathew (all University of Michigan Engineering graduates) and spent most of their young lives as a homemaker for them and her husband. Occasionally she would help out at her parents' farm on Airport Highway, and at Brock's Greenhouse in Lambertville, Michigan where she lived with her family since 1955. Later in life she took a job working for Vroman Foods as a buyer for several years. Virginia enjoyed both square and round dancing with her husband, camping with her family, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and cooking for family dinners to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and any other occasion she could think of to bring the family together. She will be remembered for her signature dish of Ham and Eggs, passed down to her from her mother-in-law Alvina (Fink) Nieman.

Virginia leaves behind her children, Bruce (Becky) Nieman, Andrew (Sue) Nieman, and Mathew (Karen) Nieman; her grandchildren Mike (Trisha) Nieman, Michelle (Kyle) Warner, Nathaniel (Alyssa) Nieman, Abby (Carl) Holmblad, Nicholes (Lisa) Nieman, and Keri Davis; her great-grandchildren Macie Nieman, Hannah Nieman, Taylor Kott, Jack Warner, Mallory Warner, Braden Warner, Sophia Nieman, Noah Nieman, Harrison Nieman, Rigdon Freker, Kian Freker, Owen Freker, Carl Holmblad Jr., Brennan Holmblad, Asher Holmblad, Marie Nieman and Joanna Nieman; great-great grandchild Logan Pfaff; and her sister Nancy Domschot.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lester Nieman, her bothers Floyd, and Jake Driver; and her sisters Barbara Brehm, Ruth Christensen, and Doris Brittson.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 1690 West Sterns Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
