Lawrence Driver, age 85, of Holland, died September 28, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born March 2, 1932 in Toledo to the late Lawrence Sr. and Dorothy (Lane) Driver and graduated from Macomber High School in 1950. Larry worked in the family business, Driver Brothers Greenhouse, for more than 65 years including 35 years alongside his son, Greg. He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Larry was an honest and hard-working man whose family and farm were always the first priority.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Greg Driver (Sherry); grandchildren, Amy Jackson (Eric), Dr. Steven Driver (Sangeeta), Matthew (Kate) and Michael Lambert; great grandchildren, Brynn, Ari and Kiran; and sisters, Ruth Christiansen, Virginia Niemen, and Nancy Domschot.
He was also preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Lena Grace (Pounds) Driver; daughters, Cathryn Lambert and Christine Driver; and three siblings.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4560 Glendale Ave, Toledo, OH 43614. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or Ronald McDonald House.
