Don was born August 15, 1946 in Norfolk, Virginia to Aldean Beacham and John L. Beacham, Jr. Don grew up and attended school in Virginia Beach, Virginia and ultimately began his career with the Federal Government working for the Department of the Navy at the Naval Station, Norfolk. Don retired after 26 years and he, his wife Linda, and daughter Lindsey then relocated to the Indianapolis area which was Linda's home town. Among Don's activities as a "retiree", he enjoyed working with the school system as a monitor for the high school students. Don also was an active member of the Ben Davis High School Dad's Organization and was recognized by the Indianapolis City Council for his contribution.
Don loved people and as a committed Christian he loved his church family and loved to read and study the Bible. He also enjoyed sharing his faith at every opportunity.
Don is survived by his daughter Lindsey, a sister Debbie Snyder of Virginia Beach, and a brother John L. Beacham III of North Carolina.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 19 at Life Church, Eagle Creek Campus at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be at the church from 12 pm to 1 pm.
