The Christian church, sometimes called New Light, to distinguish it from the Christain or Disciples church, was among the first to begin work in Blackford County. Fifty years ago or more there was a society which had its meeting place at the house of Roderick Craig, about a half mile east of the village of Dundee. Among the ministers who served this church was Phineas Roberds.
