Garnet Ann (Dehne) LaRocque, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on December 4, 2021.
Garnet was born on March 19, 1934, in the city of Manitowoc to Emil and Alma (Steffen) Dehne. On November 21, 1953, she married Calvin LaRocque at First Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on August 29, 2002.
Her biggest joys were spending time with family, gardening and cheering on the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. Her children share fond memories of spending many summer nights with her on the veranda, as she taught them the constellations in the night sky. Many of times were spent with her grandchildren out on the swing, watching scary movies, playing video games and making her famous summer sausage soup. She will always fondly be remembered by her grandchildren and their friends as "Playstation Grandma". In her later years, she enjoyed four wheeling and dune buggy rides with her son, Lee.
Survivors include her children: Kelly LaRocque, Lee (Melissa) LaRocque, Robin LaRocque and Lauri (Steve) Bacalzo; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters: Marlene and Greta and her brother: Ronnie; along with other relatives. In additon to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother: Emil Jr.
Private family services will be held at Knollwood Memorial Park, Hwy 310, Manitowoc.
