1930 Census: Wife was Alma (Steffens), couple was living with her father, with 2 yr old son Emil.

Emil H. Dehne, 89, of 3910 Waldo Blvd., Manitowoc, died Saturday morning, March 24, 1990, at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. David Allen will officiate with burial at St. John’s Reformed Cemetery, Town of Centerville.

He was born June 27, 1900, in Newton, Wisconsin, son of the late Carl and Henrietta Becker Dehne. Mr. Dehne was employed as a guard with the Manitowoc Shipbuilding from 1940-1945. Mr. Dehne was then self-employed as a representative for the Hoover Company at Schuette Bros. Department Store for 50 years until his retirement in 1988.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Sharon Dehne of Oklahoma; three daughters and sons-in-law, Marlene and Clarence Meneau of Kellnersville, Greta and Cyril Svatek of Manitowoc, Garnet and Calvin LaRocque of Rockwood, Wisconsin; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Arvin and Mary Dehne of Newton, Lester and Mildred Dehne of Newton; one sister, Arlene Spitzer of Florida; a special friend, Neva of Manitowoc; 15 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Emil Charles, three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home this Monday evening from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday morning until the time of services.
