Paul met his wife, Mary, at Western Michigan University in 1969. After eight years of dating, they finally got married. They were married for forty-four years, and had two children, Tricia and Paul II.
Paul started as a real estate agent at Rosemary Davis, then moved on to Jerry Clifton, Sherman's office, and ultimately opened his own real estate brokerage MDP Group Real Estate, retiring in 2015.
He enjoyed traveling, playing golf, bowling, having drinks with his friends, and playing cards with his family. Paul had an uncanny sense of direction. He did not need Google Maps to find his way around. He was a radio DJ for four years at Western Michigan University. He always enjoyed music and karaoke. And let me tell you something, he happened to like Christmas Music.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Mestemaker; two children, three siblings, and multiple nieces and nephews.
Interment will take place in Oakridge Cemetery in the spring.
